Hagerstown, MD Ruth Helen Garner, 85 of Hagerstown, passed away, Sunday, January 20, 2013 at NMS Healthcare, Hagerstown.
Born, January 7, 1928 in Edenville, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late, William and Susan Isabelle (Stoner) Miller.
Mrs. Garner was a homemaker and a member of Faith Temple Church of Cearfoss.
She is survived by her loving husband, Frank E. Garner; one son, Stephen E. Garner and wife Cindy of Clear Spring; two granddaughters, Brittany Phillips and husband Jeremy of Lewisburg, W.Va. and Anje Garner of Clear Spring and one great grandson, Jeremy J. Phillips; one brother, William Miller of Baltimore; two sisters, Mary Sipes of Hagerstown and Grace Sipes of W.Va.; three half brothers, John, Roy and Charles Miller; two half sisters, Wilma Runk and Virginia Wadel.
In addition to her parents she also was preceded in death by a grandson, Andrew Garner; one brother, George Miller and one sister, Betty Kuhn.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, January 25, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. at Faith Temple Church, 14015 Cearfoss Pike, Hagerstown, MD 21740, with Pastor Ronald Lynch officiating.
Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown.
Friends will be received on Thursday from 7-9 P.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown.
