Sandra Jean Petersen, 70, of Waynesboro, Pa. passed away, Monday, December 30, 2019, at her home.
Born October 31, 1949 in Hagerstown she was the daughter of, Betty Lee (Ponton) Biser of Falling Waters, W.Va. and the late, John Edward Biser. In addition to her parents she also was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Rorher Petersen.
Mrs. Petersen was employed as a newspaper delivery person for the Herald-Mail.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Hagerstown and the Washington County AmVets.
Mrs. Petersen is survived by four children, Kenneth L. Petersen (Sherry Carter), Debra S. Carter (Wayne), Tabitha J. Staubs (Thomas), all of Hagerstown and James C. Petersen of Waynesboro; three sisters, Teresa M. Kozub (Douglas) of Boonsboro, Md., Pamela J. Bowers (Joe) of Hagerstown and Judith Peugh (Bud) of Falling Waters; two brothers, Jeffrey L. Biser and Douglas T. Biser , both of Falling Waters; Ten grandchildren and Twelve great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, January 4, 2020 at 10:00 A.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown with Rev. Gregory Shook officiating.
Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Friends will be received on Friday, January 3rd from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
A reception will be held on Saturday following the funeral and burial at 1:00 P.M. at the Alsatia Club, 141 W. Washington St., Hagerstown.
