Sharon May Kiser Henson, 85, of Hagerstown, died November 16, 2018. Her husband, Edward N. Henson, Jr., preceded her in death on February 6, 1995.
Sharon was born December 2, 1932, the daughter of the late Harold Burnell Kiser and Fearol Geraldine (Gelwicks) Kiser.
She graduated from Hagerstown High School, class of 1950, and worked in the law offices of Miller and Miller, and also Wachs, Kreyenbohm and Boone. In 1958, she went to work for Henson & Son, Inc. as office manager and Secretary-Treasurer of the company, working along side her husband, until her retirement in 1992.
She was a devoted member of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, serving on the first Parish Council as secretary, under the late Monsignor Daniel McGrath. She was a Cub Scout den mother, and was active in St. Mary's School P.T.A. She also assisted Father Paul Witthauer in the Catholic Youth Organization.
The greatest blessings in life were her sons, Stephen Howard Pearl and wife Nicole and Michael John Pearl and wife Sandrea Kim Unger Pearl, of Hagerstown; granddaughters, Amber Brooke Milligan and husband Jesse, Rebecca Leanne Pearl and husband Eric Wilfong, Victoria Claire Hess and husband Brandon; and great-grandsons, Stephen Tucker Milligan, Braxton Nicholas Wilfong, and Maverick Larkin Hess.
In addition to her parents and husband, Sharon was also preceded in death by her sister, Lurley J. LaFata and brothers, Harold "Buck" Kiser and Wayne E. Kiser.
A funeral service will be celebrated at 11:00am on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Tuesday at the funeral home.
