Hagerstown, MD Shawn Ashley Minnick, 31, of Hagerstown, passed away, Saturday, February 1, 2014 as the result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Hagerstown.
Born December 6, 1982 in Hagerstown she was the daughter of Donald W. Minnick and Vicki L. Jordan of Falling Waters, W.Va.
Shawn was employed as a project manager with First Data and was the proprietor of Miche Bags, both of Hagerstown.
In addition to her parents, she also is survived by her paternal grandmother, Ethel Minnick Kepler, of Hagerstown; three uncles, Walter E. Minnick, Jr., James J. Shank and Ray Kepler and wife Wilma; three aunts, Carolyn Rausch and husband Kevin, Christi Shank and April Fye and numerous cousins and extended family and friends, including Megan, Courtney and Renee.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, James W. and Patricia Ann (Jordan) Shank and her paternal grandfather, Walter E. Minnick, Sr.
Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, February 10, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown with Rev. Mark C. Mooney officiating.
Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Sunday from 5-8 P.M.
Our hearts are broken and our daily lives will be missing one very special person, but we will never forget. She will always be our baby girl, full of life, and loved by so many. As we ourselves grow older, she will never change from the young women we knew. The young woman that brought so much joy and life to all of us. May we find peace in our hearts knowing she will never really leave us as long as we are here on this earth.
