Shirley Marie Gossard

Shirley Marie Gossard, 76, of Hagerstown, passed away, Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at Ravenwood Nursing Care Center, Hagerstown.
Born May 20, 1939 in Hagerstown she was the daughter of the late, Jacob and Hannah Marie (Murray) Betts. in addition she also was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur Gossard and a sister, Phyllis Chetester.
Mrs. Gossard had worked in housekeeping at the Hager Hotel and also had worked as a beautician.
She was a member of the Salvation Army and volunteered for many of their projects.
She is survived by two sons, Steven L. Gossard, Sr. of Hagerstown and Todd E. Gossard and wife Connie of Galena, Md.; three brothers, Aubrey, Durand and Jack Betts; four grandchildren, Steven L. Gossard, Jr., Susan Gossard, Brian Gossard and Dylan Gossard; nine great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be conducted on Saturday, October 31, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown with Pastor Terry King officiating.
Friends will be received one hour prior to services at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, 534 W. Franklin St., Hagerstown, MD 21740.
