Steven E. Breeden

March 19, 1962 — February 26, 2022

Steven (Steve) E. Breeden, the co-owner of Mayes Septic & PortaPots and retired correctional officer from Roxbury Correctional Institution, passed away unexpectedly on February 26th, 2022 at the age of 59. Steve is survived by his wife, Lisa Diane Breeden; his children, Amanda Breeden, Jordan Breeden, Karissa Reigh, Curtis W. Reigh, and Katelynn Reigh; his granddaughter, Vanessa Williams; his mother, Carrie Lee (Reel) Breeden; his sister, Cindy Mease; his nephew, Ryan Mease; his niece, Jill (Mease) Gesell; his uncle, Roy (Tubby) Stotler; and many cousins. He is preceded in death by his father, Earl E (Johnny) Breeden.

Steve was born in Hagerstown on March 19, 1962 to Carrie Reel and Earl (Johnny) Breeden. He graduated from South Hagerstown High School 1980. He was a State Champion Wrestler for South Hagerstown High School. He welcomed his first two daughters, Amanda Breeden and Jordan Breeden, with his ex-wife, Jill Breeden. In 2010, he expanded his family to include two more daughters and a son. He never used the term, step, his kids were his kids. In 2016, he welcomed his first grandchild into the world, Vanessa Williams. On May 21, 2021, he married his best friend and soul mate, Lisa Diane Reigh, after over a decade of being together. His family was the most important thing in his life. Steve was a devoted husband and father. He enjoyed driving his tractor and his big septic truck. He was a hard worker and dedicated to his passions which included vintage cars and rare coins. He always made sure his mother was taken care of and had everything she needed. He was a friend to all and he will be dearly missed. But what is loved is never truly gone. It’s not forever, it’s just for now.
