T9C Phillips Dinterman

March 20, 1925 — April 14, 2014

T9C Phillips Dinterman, 89, of Hagerstown, died, Monday, April 14, 2014.

Born March 20, 1925 in Brunswick, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Chester and Bertie (Snoots) Phillips. In addition to her parents she also was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond E. Dinterman in 1985 and one sister, Mildred Carey.

She was a 1942 graduate of Brunswick High School and graduated in 1943 from the West Virginia School of Beauty Culture.

T9C was a beautician for nearly 50 years owning her own beauty shop for 35 of those years.

She served in many capacities in her life, including president of the PTA County Council and was given a life membership in the Maryland Congress of PTA. T9C was an active volunteer with the Washington County Hospital Auxiliary and she headed the Washington County children's Theater program. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Funkstown for more than 50 years where she sang in the choir, served on many committees and participated in Sunday School.

She is survived by a daughter, Rae Jean Howell of Hagerstown; a son, Raymond E. Dinterman of Walkersville and three grandchildren.

A memorial service will be conducted on Saturday, April 19, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 24 E. Baltimore St., Funkstown with the Rev. Michael Louia officiating.

Friends will be received at the church on Saturday, one hour prior to services.

Graveside services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
