Thelma Arlene Winters, 83, of Hagerstown, passed away on Monday, August 22, 2016 at Ravenwood Lutheran Village.
Born March 19, 1933 in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late James M. and Mabel Louise (Griffith) Minnick.
Thelma was a baby sitter and a home maker. She loved children and her family. She was an avid bingo player.
She is survived by a son, Harry Winters, Jr.; two daughters, Darla Hambleton and husband Steve, Donna Parker and husband Gerald; five siblings, Betty Griffith, Janice Knode, Beverly Burger and husband Bill, James Minnick, Louise Hambleton and husband George; seven grandchildren, Harry J. Winters, III, Geoffrey Winters, Dustin James Parker, Destiny Lynn Parker, Devin Matthew Parker, Steve Allen Hambleton, Jr., Erica Jo Hambleton; and 13 great-grandchildren.
In addition to to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Harry Winters, Sr.; two daughters, infant Judy Ann Winters, Deborah Winters; a daughter-in-law, Jenny Winters; and a great-granddaughter, Natalie Rose Parker.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, August 26, 2016 at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 7-9pm at the funeral home.
