Thomas Albert "Tommy" Fortenbaugh, 64, of Hagerstown, passed away on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at his home, surrounded by his loving family and friends.
Born October 31, 1950 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Albert and Margaret (Bowling) Fortenbaugh.
Tommy was a member of the Happy-Go-Lucky Bowling group. He enjoyed listening to music, taking trips to the beach, and going out to eat. Tommy really enjoyed interacting with people, teasing everyone, and was most happy when he was having a "sodie".
He is survived by his sister, Carole Pessagno of Hagerstown; two nephews, Steven L. Pessagno of Philadelphia, Charles J. Pessagno and wife Julie of Frederick; two great-nieces, Lucie and Mary Ellen Pessagno; and his friends and family at the Washington County Human Development Council.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00am on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, with Father George Limmer officiating. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Friends and family will be received from 7-9pm on Monday at the funeral home.
