Thomas Leroy Dunn

Thomas Leroy Dunn Sr., 72, of Clear Spring passed away Thursday, Nov. 28, 2013, at his home.
Born June 21, 1941, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Preston Walter Dunn Sr. and Mildred Kathryn (Zimmerman) Dunn.
Mr. Dunn was a U.S. Army and U.S. Navy veteran and a member of VFW Post 1936, Morris Frock American Legion Post 42 and Fraternal Order of Eagles 694, all of Hagerstown.
He retired as a machinist from Frick Co. in Waynesboro, Pa.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret I. (Hose) Dunn, whom he married Sept. 16, 1990; four children, Thomas L. Tommy Dunn Jr. and wife, Laura, of Clear Spring, Randy Dunn of Dearborn, Mich., Theresa Dunn and fiance, Brian Starliper, and Kathy Shaffer and husband, Scott, all of Waynesboro; two brothers, Preston Dunn Jr. of Clear Spring and Terry Dunn of Las Vegas, Nev.; four grandchildren, Thomas L. Dunn III, Shelby Starliper, and Bryce and Ryan Shaffer; and one great-grandson, Riley Dunn.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, with Pastor Justin Repp officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery, where military honors will be accorded.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Thomas name to Hospice of Washington County, 747 Northern Ave., Hagerstown, MD 21742; or Lutheran Home Care Service, 222 E. Oak Ridge Drive, Hagerstown, MD 21740
