Vaughn Michael Lookabaugh

Vaughn Michael "Mike" Lookabaugh, 67, of Hagerstown, passed away, Saturday, November 15, 2014 at Meritus Medical Center, Hagerstown.
Born March 5, 1947 in Lititz, Pennsylvania he was the son of the Late, John W. and Louise (Keller) Lookabaugh.
Mike was a 1965 graduate of South Hagerstown High School where he lettered in football, basketball and track and excelled in the high jump and held the state record for a time.
He was a US Air Force veteran of the Vietnam war and received many citations and awards. He was a member of the VFW Post 1936, Hagerstown and the American Legion Post 211, Funkstown.
He was a salesman for Baer Foods for 30 years and received top salesman awards many times, after they closed, Mike was the manager of Terrace Liquors, Hagerstown.
Mike had played semi-pro football for the Waynesboro Tigers and was involved in the American Little League in Hagerstown where he served as president, coach and umpire.
He attended St. Andrews United Methodist Church, Hagerstown.
He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years,Vickie Ann (Rowe) Lookabaugh; two sons, Steven L. Lookabaugh and wife Michelle and Brian M. Lookabaugh, all of Hagerstown; one daughter, Helen L. Orndorff and husband Mark of Waynesboro, Pa.; one brother, David K. Lookabaugh and wife Kendra K. of Hagerstown; two sisters, Connie Shreiner of Orlando, Fla. and Michelle Shives and husband Mark of Oklahoma; five grandchildren, Madeline, Paxton, Matthew, Katey and Andrew and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown with the Rev. Mike Henning officiating.
Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery where military honors will be accorded.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6-8 P.M.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Mike's name to St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, 1020 Maryland Ave., Hagerstown, MD 21740 or to the Department of Veterans Affairs, 105 S. Spring St., Martinsburg, WV 25401.
