Victoria Ann (McAllister) Hiett, 65, of Hagerstown, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 29, 2019 at Doey's House in Hagerstown. She was the beloved wife of Jan Kenneth Hiett, whom she married 43 years ago.
Born December 1, 1953 in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Mabel (Stine) McAllister.
She was a 1971 graduate of North Hagerstown High School.
Victoria served as a board director of St. Maria Goretti High School and closely worked at Potomac Heights Elementary as a substitute teacher. She also worked at the U.S. Census Bureau, retiring in 2017.
She demonstrated her love for horses by serving many years with the Maryland State Quarter Horse Association as a board director, as well as organizing shows. She was also involved with the Silver Star Saddle Club of Greencastle, PA. She was a member of the North Carolina Society Order of Confederate Rose. Additionally, she enjoyed gardening and cooking.
She attended Paramount Baptist Church of Hagerstown.
In addition to her loving husband, she is also survived by three children, Jeremy Hiett and wife, Hannah of Mooresville, NC., Christina Hiett-Martinkosky and husband, Alex of Hagerstown, Kimberly Hiett and fiance, Benjamin Harbaugh of Greencastle; three grandchildren, Harper and Norah Martinkosky, and Makenzie Hiett; a brother, Lloyd McAllister; and special friends, Denise and Steve Hose, and Patricia Keatts.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Thursday, May 2, 2019 at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, with Pastor Frank Duncan officiating. She will be laid to rest in Rest Haven Cemetery following the service.
Family and friends will be received from 6-8pm on Wednesday at the funeral home and again following the burial for a reception.
