Virginia B. Anderson, 91, of Hagerstown, passed away Monday, March 18, 2013 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
Born on May 2, 1921 in Catawissa, PA she was the daughter of the late John Leroy Singley and Helen Esther Prizio (Rupp).
She was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Williamsport, the American Legion Auxiliary in Clear Spring, Lady of the Elks in Frederick and the AARP. She also loved playing bingo at the Funkstown Fire Hall.
She was the loving wife of Kenneth W. Anderson for 73 years.
Virginia is survived by her daughters, Helen McComas and husband, Mike of Keizer, OR; Candace Davidson and husband, Kirby of Harpers Ferry, WV; Tamara Fraker and fiance, Mark of Williamsport, MD; Barbara Warrenfeltz and husband, Mike of Hagerstown; grandchildren; Mindy Goody, Michelle Gescher, Melissa McGarvey, John Thomas Best III, Amy Staley, Rebekah Duvall, and Zachary Fraker; and 12 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Virginia was preceded in death by her step-father, Dominic Prizio and her grandson, Jeremy Miner
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, March 21, 2013 at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Avenue, Hagerstown, with Pastor W. Gregory Martin officiating.
Burial will follow at Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 7-9 PM at the funeral home.
