Virginia K. "Ginny" Noren, 92, of Hagerstown, passed away Sunday, June 2, 2013 at Golden Living Center in Hagerstown, after being in failing health for the past 5 months.
Born, December 14, 1920 in Oak Park IL., she was the daughter of the late George P. and Helen Kirkpatrick.
Ginny graduated from York High School in Elmhurst, Illinois. She then moved to the Hagerstown area in 1963.
She was a member of St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church, Antietam Garden Club, and the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts, enjoyed bridge, gardening, reading books, and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Virginia is survived by her loving husband of 69 years Charles H. Noren; a daughter, Kathryn Snee and husband Dr. Thomas, of Washington, PA; daughter-in-law Sherry Noren Elliott of Lewes, DE., a sister, Lois Hilliard and husband Robert, of Oswego, Illinois, grandchildren; Dr. Ryan Snee and wife Lynn of Washington, PA., Dr. Brent Snee and wife Karyn of Denver, CO., Jeffrey Snee and wife Melissa of Wexford, PA., Chad Snee and wife Lauren of Denver, CO., Tara Jackson and husband Scott of Singapore, Nicole Hooten and husband Robert of Ellicott City, MD., and 11 great-grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her two sons, Dr. Charles R. and Stephen E. Noren.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Avenue, Hagerstown with celebrant Rev. Marty Nocchi officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to: St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church 1525 Oak Hill Ave Hagerstown 21742 and Hospice of Washington County 747 Northern Ave. Hagerstown 21742.
