Virginia "Ginny" Lee Huntzberry, 80, of Hagerstown, passed away Monday, Oct. 29, 2012.
Born Nov. 21, 1931, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Joseph W. and Bessie L. (Bowers) Barnes.
Virginia had worked as a waitress and had also previously been employed by L'Aiglon Dress Factory, Pangborn School cafeteria, Angstrom Precision and Gilbert Industries.
She enjoyed helping the elderly and was formerly a member of Bethel Assembly of God.
She is survived by a son, David W. Huntzberry and wife, Jeannie, of Hagerstown; a daughter, Sharon L. Twigg and husband, Rick, of Wolfsville; a son, Darrell L. Huntzberry and wife, Shirley, of Hedgesville, W.Va.; six sisters, Florence Weaver of Hagerstown, Marie Myers of Boonsboro, Eva Shillingberg, Mary Martin, Anna Barnes, all of Hagerstown and Josephine Elliott of State Line, Pa.; eight grandchildren, Shannon, Karen, Kristin, Janelle, Kenneth, Bryan, Timothy and Kelsey, eight great-grandchildren; and her former husband, Fred L. Huntzberry.
Funeral services will be Friday, Nov. 2, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, with the Rev. Wesley Newell officiating. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Friends and family will be received Friday one hour before the service at the funeral home.
