Wade Delaney Davis, Jr., 49, of Greencastle, PA, died on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at Waynesboro Hospital.
Born June 21, 1963 in Alexandria, VA, he was the son of the late Wade D. Sr., and Sylvia Davis.
Wade was a graduate of T.C. Williams High School in Alexandria.
He worked as a landscaper for Landscapes by Wade.
Wade loved all types of sports but held a huge passion for the Redskin's! He will be remembered as a great cook who loved to prepare meals for his family as well as an outdoorsman who loved sight seeing and going to the beach. He loved animals, especially his faithful dog, Layla and his four cats.
Wade is survived by his fiancé, Peggy Ray of Greencastle; three children, Katie Muse Charlebois of Alabama, Wade D. Davis, III of Georgia, Jessica Lynn Davis of Virginia; a stepdaughter, Heather Evans of Greencastle; a brother, David Davis of Maryland; a sister, Theresa Marra of West Virginia; two nephews, Frank Davis and Nicholas Marra of Virginia; six grandchildren, Jacob Madden, Alexis Davis, Nathan Davis, Lilly Rose Davis, Anthony Ray Hodge, Jr., Natalie Davis; and the mother of his children, Merry Davis of Alabama.
In addition to his parents, Wade was preceded in death by his infant son, Joel Davis.
Wade will always be remembered as a loving, caring, and supportive husband and father.
A funeral service will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, with Pastor Brad Nigh officiating.
Friends will be received one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Inurnment will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
