Wanda Jean (Miller) Rayner, 61, of Chambersburg, passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2011, at Manor Care Health Services in Chambersburg.

Born Sept. 7, 1949, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Earl Emerson and Ethel May (Divel) Miller.

She was a member of St. Johnâ??s Lutheran Church in Hagerstown.

She is survived by three daughters and a son, Kim Gettel of Williamsport, Laura Socks of Baltimore and Hope Socks of Hagerstown, and David Socks of Hagerstown; two stepdaughters, Karin Socks and Melissa Gettel, both of Hagerstown; five sisters, Nell Cable, Edna McGowan, Rebecca Hovermale and Mary Henson, all of Hagerstown, and Helen Leberknight of Chambersburg; 12 grandchildren and her first husband, William David Socks.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by two sisters and six brothers.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 23, 2011, at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, with the Rev. Edward Heim officiating. Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family.

Friends will be received one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
