William Edward Shrader

William Edward Shrader, 91, of Hagerstown passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, December 5, 2019.
Born October 14, 1928 in Hagerstown he was the son of the late, George Shrader and Ralph and Mildred (Poffenberger) Funkhouser. In addition to his parents and step father he also was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy Sue; a brother, Jack and two grandchildren.
Mr. Shrader retired with 34 years of service as a crew foreman for the City of Hagerstown Water Department.
He was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church, Hagerstown; The Eagles Club Incorporated, Waynesboro. He was an avid New York Yankees and Washington Redskins fan and loved to play his guitar.
Mr. Shrader is survived by his wife of 60 years, Sarah Ellen (Webb) Shrader; three sons, Edward, Holly and wife, Gina and Raymond and wife, Patti; five daughter, Krista, Marie and husband, Allen, Lee and friend Dave, Ronda and husband, Kip and Cheree and husband, Andy; seventeen grandchildren and twenty eight great grandchildren.
Funeral services and burial will be private and conducted at the convenience of the family.
