Born Sept. 24, 1927, in Hagerstown, Md., he was the son of the late Jacob Frank and Mabel Helena (Good) Wiles.

Mr. Wiles studied theology at Grace College in Winona Lake, Ind.

He was the founding pastor at Valley Brethren Church. He had been at a number of churches in his career. He was a former member of Hagerstown Grace Brethren Church. He dreamed of going to New Mexico to work with the Navaho mission.
