William Jess Johnston, Jr, 51, of Hagerstown, passed away Tuesday, July 22, 2014.
Born August 2, 1962, in Hagerstown he was the son of the late Carol (Kershner) Bussard and William Jesse Johnston, Sr.
He was a 1982 graduate of North Hagerstown High School and attended Hagerstown Junior College.
He was a EMT and firefighter with Maugansville Goodwill Volunteer Fire Company and had worked at Washington County Hospital as a Respitory Therapist. William also had been employed by the brickyard in Williamsport.
William is survived by a daughter, Christina Johnston, of Brooklyn, New York;
two sons William Jess Johnston, III, of Germany, Ryan Johnston, of Waynesboro, a sister, Angela Wolff, of Clear Spring, a brother, James Reno, of Texas; grandchildren Connor King, Colin King, Holly, Noah and Nils Johnston, aunt and uncle, Joyce M. and Thomas B. Kinzer, of Hagerstown; two step children Nicole O'Rourke of Frostburg MD and James Griffin of Pittsburg PA., one niece and nephew, numerous cousins and long time best friend Herb Thompson.
William is also survived by the love of his life Medina Scott of Hagerstown.
Friends and family will be received at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave. Hagerstown, on Sunday, July 27th, from 6-8PM. A memorial service will be held at 8PM with Pastor Brad Kefauver officiating.
