William Kaldy Jr. Alexander

Alexander William Kaldy Jr. 84, of Hagerstown, passed away Wednesday, June 9, 2010, at Washington County Hospital.
Born March 27, 1926, in New Brunswick, N.J., he was the son of the late Alexander W. and Julia (Csete) Kaldy.
He served in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II.
He retired as a mechanical engineer with Mack Truck in Hagerstown.
He was an intricate part of the Mack Truck Softball League for many years.
Alexander was a member of Haven Lutheran Church and Funkstown American Legion Post 211.
Alexander is survived by his loving wife, Ruthann (Bannier) Kaldy; two daughters, Patricia Kaldy and husband, James Taylor, of Concord, N.C., and Joanne Kaldy of Harrisburg, Pa.; and a grandson, Scott Taylor.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters and a brother.
A graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family.
