Willis Calvin Fox, 89, of Hagerstown, passed away, on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at his home.

Born May 22, 1924 in Hampshire County, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Samuel J. and Minnie Love (Brill) Fox.

He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Funkstown; the Funkstown American Legion; and the Golden Bulldogs. He enjoyed cutting glass and making stained glass.

Willis retired as a quality control inspector at Mack Truck and had previously worked as a tool and die maker for Fairchild Aircraft.

He is survived by his second wife, Catherine E. (Thompson) Fox; a daughter, Keitha F. Grove and husband Earl of Hagerstown; three grandchildren, Diane E. Villalon and husband Rhoger of Cary, NC.; David E. Grove and wife Lisa of Cleveland, OH., Karen M. Omps and husband Chris of Hagerstown; six great-grandchildren, Austin Villalon, Caleb Villalon, Kaylee Omps, Kristen Grove, Makenzie Simons, Avery Simons; numerous nieces, nephews, and close friends.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his first wife, Juanita Love Fox, who died in 2004; and a sister, Catherine Brill.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00am on Friday, November 22, 2013 at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, with the Rev. Michael Louia officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.

Friends will be received one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made in Willis's name to Hospice of Washington County, 747 Northern Ave., Hagerstown, MD 21742.
