Barbara Jean Smith

December 23, 1932 — January 6, 2021

Barbara Jean Dunn-Smith born December 23, 1932 in Fairfield, Pennsylvania and passed into the arms of our Loving Savior January 6, 2021. 

She worked at C&P telephone Co., Fairchild Aircraft, Acme Supermarket, Alexander House, Blaine Window Hardware and Tele-Mart Services.  She then retired from Sears.

Other activities included volunteering  with Parents Without Partners, Colton Villa, and many other worthy causes.  Volunteered,  Helped and trained with CASA of Hagerstown.

She was pre-deceased by her parents, George Emanuel McSherry and Georgia Indiana Manious McSherry; daughter, Pamela Lee Carey; son, William Gordon Dunn, II; husband, William Gordon Dunn; husband, Nelson Paul Smith; sister, Virginia Hammond of Dalton, Nebraska; sister, Dora E. White and her husband, John, of Myrtle Beach, SC.

She is survived by her daughter, Debra Ellen Harbaugh and her husband, (Marshall) Lynn and her daughter, Leah M. Stanfield and her husband, Michael.  Six Grandsons, (Timothy) Shawn Shelton, (Emory) Shayne Shelton, William Gordon Dunn, III, Jacob Adam Dunn, Paul William Chenoweth and Ajay Chenoweth.  Seven Great Grandchildren, Amber Shelton, Hunter Shelton, Devon Shelton, Dakota Shelton, Connor Beck, Kaely Beck-Dunn, McKayla Chenoweth.  Also Survived by her sister, K. Marlene Shafer with her husband, Preston, of Hagerstown, Maryland.  Along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She will be cremated and her ashes will be buried with her husband, William G. Dunn, at Rest Haven in Hagerstown, Maryland. 

A Memorial Celebration will be held Sunday, January 17, 2021 at 1 p.m. - Cornerstone Church of Christ,  1350 Tallow Hill Rd, Chambersburg, PA 17202.  Please note that you must wear a mask.
