Barbra Jeanne Murray, 51, of Greencastle Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on September 17th, 2023. Barbra was born on April 20, 1972, in the Philippines. She and her family moved to the United States in 1987, eventually settling in Hagerstown, Maryland. Barbra graduated from North Hagerstown High School in 1989. After obtaining her associate degree from Hagerstown Community College, she graduated from Frostburg State University with a degree in business. She later proudly obtained several certifications and designations to further her professional career; through her dedication and strong work ethic, she earned Director and Senior Manager positions at two Fortune 500 companies.
Barbra’s greatest joys in life were grounded in her overflowing love for her family. She was a proud and devoted mother of her twins, Ben and Mary, and was also an important nurturing figure to many in her family, particularly to her many nieces. She always took care to bring the extended family together, hosting parties for holidays, birthdays, and any other occasions that offered reasons to celebrate with loved ones. She also enjoyed traveling, taking pleasure in showing the great wonders of the world to her children and nieces.
In addition to her parents Paz and John, Barbra is survived by her husband, Mark; her children, Mary, Ben, step-children Aleynna, Ethan, and Rion; her sisters, Hayley Massaro, Bennette Tracy, and Vanessa Patterson; step-sister Cassandra Wagner and her in-laws, Martha and Moe Watts. She is preceded in passing by her father, Benjamin Nalo. Barbra’s family has been truly blessed to have the most amazing wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend; they will miss her dearly every day. Her memory will live on in the hearts of everyone who was fortunate to have known her.
Her family invites you to join them for a celebration of her life on Friday, September 29, 2023, at 4:00 pm at Rest Haven Funeral Home 1601 Pennsylvania Ave, Hagerstown MD 21742 memorial service to follow at 6:00. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in her name to either the American Cancer Society (donate.cancer.org) or Franklin Hospice (franklinhospice.org/donate) Expressions of sympathy will be shared with the family at www.rsthvn.com
