Barry Richard Nott, 74, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away in Washington D.C. on Thursday, December 26, 2024 surrounded by his loving family.

Born on January 10, 1950, he was the son of the late Leonard Nott and Mary (Palutz) Nott. He graduated from South Hagerstown High School in 1968 and continued his education at Hagerstown Community College.

Barry was then employed with the City of Hagerstown as a chemist and went on to persue a career in the trucking industry with Hagerstown Motor, Ryder P.I.E. Barry was an avid hunter in his day and loved going mushroom hunting with his friend and brother in-law, Ronnie. He was a skilled craftsman in leather work, often sought out by various local and professional baseball teams to repair and renew their favorite ball gloves. Barry loved working out in the yard and socializing with outreach workers through ARC of Washington County, but his favorite thing to do was watch grandson, Logan, out on the baseball field.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother-in-law, James K. Leigh (surviving wife, Bonnie).
