Betty Jane Crone, 95, of Hagerstown, Md., passed away, Friday, December 1, 2023, at Williamsport Retirement Village, Williamsport, MD

Born July 6, 1928 in Hagerstown she was the daughter of the late, Margaret Cordellis Schildtknecht.  In addition to her mother she also was preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years, Charles R. Crone and her son, Daniel Charles Crone.

In addition to being a homemaker, Mrs. Crone had worked as a school crossing guard for the City of Hagerstown and the Washington County Board of Education.

She was a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church, Hagerstown.

Mrs. Crone is survived by one daughter, Deborah Marie Crone Cantler and husband, Buck; one sister, Josephine Pusso; four grandchildren Katie Jane Lingg and husband, Kyle, Judy Ann Warren and husband, Eric, Heath Daniel Crone, Brett Daniel Crone; nine great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, December 7, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown with Rev. Randy Reid officiating.

Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday one hour prior to the service.
