Betty Elaine (Kershner) Stine, 91, of Williamsport, passed away on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Williamsport Nursing Home.
Born November 25, 1927 in Chewsville, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Gladys (McCall) Kershner.
Betty was a 1946 graduate of Hagerstown High School.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Hagerstown; American Legion Auxiliary Post No. 222 in Clear Spring and a long time member of T.O.P.S.
She enjoyed traveling to Florida with her husband. Her family was very important to her; especially her grandchildren.
Betty is survived by her loving husband of almost 70 years, Emmert Peter Stine; two sons, Terry Stine and wife Karen of Clear Spring, Douglas Stine and wife Sue of Cear Foss; a son-in-law, Martin Funk of Clear Spring; a brother, Ronald Kershner and wife Sue of Hagerstown; a step-sister, Inez Winebrenner of Boonsboro; five grandchildren, Ginger, Jessica, Derrick, Samantha, and Wesley; four great-grandchildren, Michael, Zachary, Austin, and Antone; a great-great-grandson, Cameron; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Stine; a daughter, Krista Funk; and three sisters, Jean Dodge, Catherine Dorsey and Dorothy Gordon.
A memorial service will be held at 7:00pm on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at Rest Haven Funeral Home, Inc., 1601 PA Ave., Hagerstown. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Inurnment will be private.
