Betty Ann Stottlemyer, 85, of Hagerstown, Md., passed away, Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at Williamsport Retirement Center.
Born June 10, 1939 in Hagerstown she was the daughter of the late, Alvin Scott and Mildred Bowers. In addition to her parents she also was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Roy L. Stottlemyer; one son, Randy Scott; two brothers and two sisters.
Betty attended Boonsboro High School and had worked for Rosens' Department Store and Angstroms Precision, both of Hagerstown.
She was a member of the B.P.O. Elks, Ladies Auxiliary and enjoyed gambling, going to state fairs with her husband, tractor pulls and canning meats after butchering.
Mrs. Stottlemyer is survived by her son Richard E. "Duke" Scott and wife, Annette; two grandchildren, Jamie Booth and husband, Travis and Jodie Trovinger and husband, Rob; four great grandchildren, Cody, Madison, Cameron and Blake; one brother, Melvin Scott; one sister, Judy Smith and several nieces and nephews including a special nephew, Josh Shingleton.
Graveside services will be conducted on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at 10:00 A.M. at Beaver Creek Cemetery with Rev. Mark Curran officiating.
