Carol Jean Macomber, 64, of Hagerstown, passed away Thursday, April 22, 2010, at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore.
Born March 20, 1946, in Red Oak, Iowa, she was the daughter of Gladys Mina (Beldin) White and the late George White.
She was a member of Williamsport Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Carol graduated from Union College, in Lincoln, Neb., with a degree in social work.
She worked as a social worker and also had worked as a customer service representative at Review and Herald Publishing Association in Hagerstown.
She is survived by her loving husband, Larry D. Macomber; one daughter, Vicki Lynn Redden and husband, Ron, of Martinsburg, W.Va.; one son, Christopher L. Macomber of Hagerstown; one brother, Randall White of Collegedale, Tenn.; two granddaughters, Elaina N. Redden and Katherine J. Redden; and one grandson, Joey D. Macomber.
A funeral service will be conducted Monday, April 26, 2010, at 1 p.m. at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, with Pastor Franke Zollman officiating. Burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Friends will be received Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
