Constance Louise Coss

Contance (Connie) Louise Coss, 89 of western Howard County and formerly Washington County, MD passed away on October 28th, 2025, at the Spring Arbor Cottages in Midlothian, VA. She was the loving wife of the late Herbert David Coss, Jr.

She was born on March 4th, 1936, to the late, Ralph Lewis Faulder and Mildred Viola Faulder.

Connie and Herb raised three children, Julie Christmas (Tim), Steven Coss and Jennifer Ford in Howard County, MD and she leaves behind three wonderful grandchildren who she cherished dearly, Audrey, Trevor, Derek and Caroline.

At James Madison College where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in English, Connie was the Chief Editor of the college paper, the Breeze, and was active in the drama club.

After college, Connie was a High School English teacher and then later in life was a successful real estate agent in Howard County, MD.

Connie enjoyed being around friends from college, the garden club, and First Lutheran Church where she was an active member for many years.

In retirement, Connie and Herb enjoyed playing golf and traveling both together and with friends on Johns Hopkins sponsored trips.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 5th at 10 am with the Funeral at 11 am at the Rest Haven Funeral Home in Hagerstown, MD. In lieu of flowers, a memorial gift can be made to the First Lutheran Endowment fund.
