Crucita Rodriguez

Hagerstown-
“Touch gently this life which you had created, now and forever.”
Crucita Rodriguez, aged 93, passed away peacefully at her home in Hagerstown on May 7, 2024, surrounded by the adoring family she loved above all else.
Born on April 25, 1931 to Alejandro Camacho and Juana Soto, she spent her earliest years in Puerto Rico, a beloved place where she would return again and again throughout her lifetime.
As a young woman Crucita, the eighth of nine children, moved with her mother and sisters to New York City, where she met Michael Rodriguez. Their love story would unfold across more than seventy-six years.
Never happier than when she was surrounded by her family, she taught them by word and example to love fiercely and live with an open heart.
Crucita leaves behind a legacy of love and faith. She was pre-deceased by her parents, numerous siblings, and eldest daughter, Marie Shogreen, all of whom she treasured.
She is survived by her adoring children Bonnie Rodriguez Piña (David), Michael Rodriguez Jr. (Karen), and David Rodriguez (Kim).
She was active in the lives of each of her beloved grandchildren: Lauren Rico Steffann (Tom), Laura Caceres (Botir), Michelle Caceres, Vanessa Shogreen, Jessica, Cheryl, Jeremiah (Marian), Nathan, Joshua, and Hannah Rodriguez.
She was also cherished great-grandmother to Angel Leon, Frankie Santana III, Ursula Santana, Noah Marrero, Jarrett Jones, and Emmett Rodriguez.
Visitation will take place on Sunday May 12, 2024 from 6-8pm.
