Daeshon Matthew Banks, 17, of Hagerstown, Md. passed away, Sunday, May 8, 2022 at Meritus medical Center, Hagerstown.
Born August 23, 2004 in Chambersburg, Pa. he was the son of Angelina J. Diaz of Hagerstown and the late, Dwayne M. Banks.
Daeshon was a senior at South Hagerstown High School where he played football his freshman and sophomore years. He previously played football for the Hagerstown Giants in the Washington County Junior League. He formerly played basketball at E. Russell Hicks Middle School and summer league basketball at Wheaton Park, Hagerstown. He was fun loving, charismatic, social butterfly that infected everyone with love and kindness. His smile lit up any room he entered. Daeshon was goofy, loved spending time playing ball and Xbox for hours with his friends and danced hoping everyone was watching.
In addition to his mother, Daeshon is survived by his step father, Shadrac Beckles; four sisters, Kaylyn, Aniyah, Jacelyn and Zaharrah; a niece Freya and so many special friends that became brothers and sisters to him.
A funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, May 14, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Saturday two hours prior to the service.
