Daniel Ankrom, 76, of Hagerstown, Md. passed away, Monday, June 14, 2021 at Ravenwood Nursing Center, Hagerstown.
Born July 19, 1944 in Claysville, Pa. he was the son of the late, James Vernon and Dora Irene (Shrader) Ankrom. In addition to his parents he also was preceded in death by two sons, Ricky D. Daley and Eric D. Ankrom; one grandson, Alan Daley; four brothers and four sisters.
Mr. Ankrom had worked as a truck driver for Mercer's Milk Transport, Frederick, Md.
He was a member of Hilltop Christian Fellowship and the F. O. Eagles, both of Hagerstown.
Mr. Ankrom loved his family, horses, playing the harmonica, shooting pool, hunting, camping and gardening.
He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Shirley E. (Pittman) Ankrom; three daughters, Lisa Kline of Hagerstown, Beth McGowan and husband, Rodney of Martinsburg, W.Va. and Denise Naugle of Shippensburg, Pa.; five grandchildren, Misty Covington, Amy Jackson,Michelle Lippy, Crystal Santoro and Jeremiah Naugle; twelve great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren, two brothers and two sisters.
Graveside services will be conducted on Friday, June 18, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at Park Head Cemetery, Big Pool, Md. with Pastor John Cook officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Daniel's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
