David Zimmerman Gardner, Jr., 71 of Sharpsburg, Md., passed away, how he lived his life, privately and with his family on Sunday, February 13, 2022 at his home.
Born February 4, 1951 in Harpers Ferry, W.Va., he was the son of the late, David Z. Gardner, Sr. and Mary Alice (Hetzel) Gardner. In addition to his parents he also was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Eash.
Mr. Gardner was a graduate of Boonsboro High School.
He retired as a laborer/picker for Conservit Inc., Hagerstown.
His hobbies included metal detecting, gardening, mushroom hunting, hunting and fishing.
Mr. Gardner is survived by two sons, Garrott Wayne Gardner of Hagerstown and Travis Lee Gardner of Sharpsburg.
Rest Haven Funeral Home, Hagerstown is assisting the family with the arrangements.
