Georgia Dean Roberts (McCall), loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away in her sleep on March 20th, 2024.  After a long, difficult illness of Alzheimer’s, she is now resting at peace with her heavenly Father.  Known as “Dean” to most of her family and friends, she was born on June 30th, 1945, in Roswell, NM; she is the daughter of the late Arnold and Beatrice McCall.  

Most of her childhood was spent growing up in Danville, VA, and she attended high school in Richmond, VA. She attended James Madison University and studied Art.  As an adult, she raised her family in Frederick County, MD, and Ashburn, VA.  In her later years, she and her husband of 41 years, John L. Roberts, semi-retired in Jensen Beach, FL.

 Dean loved being with her family the most. She was always excited about the holidays, and hosting family get-togethers brought her true joy. Dean’s professional career varied but was always consistent in one thing: she enjoyed working and helping others. Her favorite job was in her later years as the school librarian. She loved reading to the children and seeing/listening to their imaginations/reactions. She was greatly loved and will be deeply missed.  

Dean is survived by her husband, John L. Roberts; four children, Robin Todd Norris and husband George, J. Kristen Todd, Barrett D. Todd and wife Carrie, Meredith D. Roberts; her brother Mac McCall; three stepchildren, Nancy Vellandi, John C. Roberts, Matthew Roberts and wife Madelina; 14 grandchildren, Jack Weddle, Patrick Weddle, Braxton Todd and wife Claire, Abagail Todd, Brodie Todd, Anders Todd, Angella Vellandi, Sophia Vellandi, Melanie Roberts, Luke Roberts, Mason Roberts, Alyssa Roberts, Alexis Norris, and Lily Norris; one great-grandchild, Elhanan Todd; and three nieces, Maci McCall, Calli McCall, and Lexi McCall.
