Delores Louise Swope
Born November 18, 1933 in Hagersown, she was the daughter of the late James D. and Genevieve (Dieterich) Stickell.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 46 years, Leon Robert Swope; and a sister, D. Elaine Grove-Squibb.
She was a veteran of the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict.
She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Hagerstown.
Delores loved children and worked as a day care provider from her home for many years.
She is survived by her son, James D. Swope and wife Rachelle of Hagerstown; and her granddaughter, Justine Lee Swope of Baltimore.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00pm on Monday, April 15, 2024 in Rest Haven Cemetery, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown. She will be laid to rest beside her husband, Leon.
Rest Haven Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
