Donna Louree Fairchild

Donna Louree Fairchild, 78, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away on May 18, 2025. Born on November 30, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Huber Daniel Bock, Jr. and Helen Louree Custer.

Donna loved reading on her Kindle, especially novels by her favorite author, Nora Roberts. When she wasn’t reading, she enjoyed spending time playing an interactive computer game where she made a group of friends from all over North America. She also had fun playing Mario Kart on her DS in later years. A cat named PJ or “Grandma’s Baby” as she called him, stole her heart and two became bonded quickly. Phillip, Donna’s son, is a chef and she loved his cooking. He made her special requests frequently, noting that her favorites were steak and lobster. Throughout her lifetime she was a huge Orioles fan, with Cal Ripkin being her all-time favorite player. She compiled a record of game scores and statistics over her lifetime.

Donna is survived by her son, Phillip “Colby” Shives and his wife, Tonya, with whom she happily resided for many years; step-grandson, Danniel Caldwell; step-great grandson, Danniel “Mikey” Caldwell; cousins, Linda Foltz and Nancy Green; close friends, Morgan Jenkins and Dixie and Matt Ellis; friends and adopted family, Brooke and Randy Atha.

A graveside service will be held to honor Donna’s life at the convenience of her family. Date and time will be updated at a later date.
