Donna Rae Hovermill

Donna Rae Hovermill, 81, of Hagerstown, Md., passed away, Sunday September 8, 2024 at Somerford Place, Hagerstown.Born January 28, 1943 in Hagerstown she was the daughter of the late, Marvin Walter and Marian Eleanore (Ruthrauff) Bishop. In addition to her parents she also was preceded in death by her loving husband of 38 years, Paul Nelson Hovermill and one brother, Marvin Bishop.Donna was a 1960 graduate of South Hagerstown High School and retired as a investment banking specialist with M&T Bank, Hagerstown.Donna was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church and Haven Lutheran Church, Hagerstown; She also was a member of the Red Hat Society, P.E.O. and she volunteered for Hospice of Washington County. Donna's hobbies included bowling, gardening, crocheting and traveling.Donna is survived by two sons, James A. Hovermill (Vicky) and Joseph W. Hovermill (Jenny); seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren and her caregiver, Marcy Curfman.Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, September 13, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown with Rev. David Kaplan officiating.Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6-8 P.M.In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Donna's name to Hospice of Washington County, 1710 Underpass Way, Hagerstown, MD 21740
