Evelyn Rozelia (Socks) Renner, 91, of Hagerstown, passed away Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at her home.
Born April 15, 1928 in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Ernest R. and Anna Louise (Shoemaker) Socks. Evelyn also had six brothers, Leo, Ernest Jr., Charles, Robert, Ronald, and Kenneth; and five sisters, Mary, Catherine, Patsy, Betty, and Doris.
Evelyn enjoyed playing cards, bowling, and doing word searches. She was also fan of Western movies.
She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, William Edgar Renner; a son, William J. Renner and fianc Diane Nadolsky Davis; grandson, Gary J. Renner and wife Regina; and a great-grandson, Chance T. Renner, all of Hagerstown.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00am on Monday, October 7, 2019 at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Burial will follow the service in Rest Haven Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Evelyn's name to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl.,Memphis, TN 38105.
