Frances Marie (Rowland) Mentzer
Frances Marie (Rowland) Mentzer, 92, of Hagerstown, died on Sunday, February 17, 2013 at the Williamsport Nursing Home.
Born March 22, 1920 in Downsville, she was the daughter of the late Norman Milton and Charlotte Irene (Shafer) Rowland.
She was a member of St. James Brethren Church in St. James, MD.
Frances graduated nursing school in Philadelphia, PA in 1957. She worked as a nurse at the former Avalon Nursing Home in Hagerstown.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Irvin Mentzer, in 1969; a sister Ruth Deibert; and a brother, Harvey Rowland.
Frances is survived by a sister, Margaret P. Rowland and her uncle, Rodger Sheffer, both of Hagerstown.
Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family in Rest Haven Cemetery.
