Frances Virginia Bowers

Frances Virginia Bowers, 98, formerly of Hagerstown, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 5, 2021 at, the Hospice of St. Mary's County, Calloway, Md.

Born November 9, 1922 in Hagerstown she was the daughter of the late, David Reynolds and Grace D. (Bowers) Reynolds Robinson. In addition to her parents she also was preceded in death by her first husband of over 30 years, Roland Ray Finfrock, her second husband of 40 years, Harry J. "Buddy" Bowers; two sisters, Freda Robinson and Evelyn Reeder and a granddaughter, Jennifer Lynn Finfrock.

Mrs. Bowers grew up in the Beaver Creek/Black Rock area. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Marys Catholic Church, Hagerstown and attended St. John Regis Catholic Church, Hollywood, Md. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, crocheting, square dancing and camping.

Mrs. Bowers is survived by two children, Dennis A. Finfrock (Susan) of Chesterfield, Va. and Robin D. McCauley (David) with whom she resided of Hollywood, Md.; three grandchildren, Matthew McCauley (Kim), Andrea Finfrock and Joseph Finfrock (Sara) four great grandchildren, Madison, Abigail, Lilly and Ace and one sister, Darlene (Robinson) Frushour of Myersville, Md.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, September 10, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Home,1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown.

Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.

Friends will be received at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
