Frederick D. Starr

Frederick D. Starr, 81, of Hagerstown, Maryland, passed away peacefully on April 11, 2023, at his home with his wife by his side. He was the beloved husband of Violet Joyce Starr.
Born on March 16, 1942, he was the son of the late John Donald and Helen (Hill) Starr. Following High School and Post-Secondary education his career consisted of, working as a cameraman for WTTG, a Sales Manager for Sears and John Oliver Homes, and as an Advisor at Butcher and Singer. He began Starr Investment Services, which he owned and operated until his retirement.
In addition to his wife, Violet, Frederick is survived by his brother, Jim Starr, and wife Fidella Starr; nephews Jason and Joshua Starr and their wives Jeanie and Amy Starr, as well as his granddaughters, Nicole Reeder, Natalie Rhoderick, and husband Colton Rhoderick.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Shelleen Starr.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11am on Monday, April 17, 2023, at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Avenue, Hagerstown, MD 21742. The funeral service will begin at 11am. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
