Gene Edward Kauffman Sr.

Gene Edward Kauffman Sr., 80, of Hagerstown, passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2024, In Hagerstown, MD. Born May 16, 1944, to the late Evered and Ruth (Martin) Kauffman.

In addition to his parents, He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia “Ginger” Kauffman, son Gene “JR" Kauffman Jr; brother Richard Kauffman; sister Shirley Smith and brother-in-law Harold “Mickey" Smith; and brother-in-law Rick Martz.

Gene attended Bible Brethren Church of Hagerstown Md, and he worked for the Canteen in Hagerstown for 47 years. He loved golfing, the outdoors, and traveling with his “sweetheart” Judy.

In addition to his “sweetheart” Judy, he is survived by his beloved cat Little Bit; brother John R Kauffman and wife Linda; sister Sharon Martz; and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at 1:00 P.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Avenue, Hagerstown, MD. Following interment at Rest Haven Cemetery with a reception after.

The family will be receiving friends from 6-8 Tuesday, September 17, 2024
