George E. Miller

August 31, 1923 - July 16, 2025 

George E. Miller passed away peacefully Wednesday, July 16, 2025 at Lexington Medical Center in Columbia, South Carolina. He will be lovingly missed by his son George E. Miller II, grandchildren Tonya, Felicia, Lucas and Katie; 11 great grandchildren, son-in-law Tommy Cooper, and numerous other family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents George Clfford Miller and Minne Gertrude Miller, his loving wife Catherine I. Miller, his recently deceased beloved daughter Patricia Anne Cooper; brothers Charles K Miller and Beaudric C."Warphy" Miller; and sisters Elizabeth Penner and Leola Wilhide, and a grandson. 

Mr. Miller was born and lived most of his life in Hagerstown, MD. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Hagerstown, MD. He proudly served in the U.S. Army in the Pacific Theatre in WWII, was a member of the Funkstown American Legion and had a long career and retired from MACK Trucks. He enjoyed Big Band music, the Washington Redskins, and playing golf. Mr. Miller had a long and fulfilled life and would have been 102 on his upcoming birthday. 

A graveside military honors service for family and friends is planned for Monday, August 4, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Home & Cemetery in Hagerstown, MD.
