George "Terry" Terrance Morningstar

George “Terry” or "Hap" Terrance Morningstar, 75, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away at home surrounded by family on Tuesday, June 3, 2025. Born on October 4, 1949, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late George E. Morningstar and Gertrude E. (Ausherman) Morningstar.

In addition to his parents, Terry is preceded in death by late-wife, Judith Marie Morningstar, and sister, Doris Moser.

Being a passionate outdoorsman, Terry loved hunting and camping. In his career he got to enjoy nature by 40 years of being a tree trimmer. Not only did he relish the work he did, but he had a great work or “tree” family. He was a lifetime member of the North American Rod and Gun Club and an Orioles fan, having to watch every game. Hanger, his cocker spaniel, was his best buddy and will surely miss him very much. Most of all, Terry loved spending time with his family, especially his grandkids.

Terry is survived by his loving wife, Teresa Billman-Morningstar; son, Timothy Morningstar (wife Heather), their children Matthew, Rachel, and Raven, and their grandchild Mayzie; daughter, Sadie Morningstar and her children, Austin, Andrew, and Theo; son, Jack Billman (wife Ashley), their children Michael, Grace (husband Richard), and Matthew, and their grandchildren, Luke, Idalia, and Lorelei; son, Clint Billman (wife Olga), their children Joseph and Joshua; son, Brandon Billman; granddaughter, Sara Billman; Stepson, Willis VanMetre; stepdaughter, Jennifer Yeager (husband Tim); and brother, Edward Morningstar (wife Shirley)

A graveside service will be held for Terry on Friday, June 6, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Rose Hill Cemetery, 600 S. Potomac St., Hagerstown, MD 21740 with Rev. Ken R. Harris officiating.
