Gerald E. "Jerry" Miller

June 21, 1939 — February 24, 2022

Gerald E. "Jerry" Miller, 82, of Hagerstown, passed away, Thursday, February 24, 2022 at Homewood of Williamsport.

Born June 21, 1939 in Boonsboro, Md. he was the son of the late, Millard R. and Mabel E. (Myers) Miller. In addition to his parents he also was preceded in death by his loving wife of 46 years, Katherine L. (Kerns) Miller; two sisters, Peggy Barnhart and Melvia "Cookie" Miller and a step son, Gene Roberts

Mr. Miller was a U.S. Air Force veteran and a member of Manor Church of the Brethren, Hagerstown.

He retired with the Laborers International Union of North America, Local 616, Cresaptown, Md. Prior to that he was a self employed painter with his father.

Mr. Miller is survived by one daughter, Sandy L. Duffey and husband, Kevin; four step children, Billy Roberts and Melody, Donna Steiner, Linda Kline and husband, Donald and Anna Jeffords and husband, Steve; 3 siblings, Millard Miller, Jr. and wife, Linda, Penny Bartles and husband, Ralph and Patricia "Patty" Shoemaker and husband, Terry; seven grandchildren, several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, March 3, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown with Rev. Jeffrey L. Shull officiating.

Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6-8 P.M.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Jerry's name to the Humane Society of Washington County (to feed the cats), 13011 Maugansville Rd., Hagerstown, MD 21740
