Gilbert Charles Noll

Gilbert Charles Noll, 85, of Hagerstown passed away peacefully, Wednesday, April 29, 2020 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born May 23, 1934 in Pleasant Gap, PA, he was the son of Gilbert Fulton Noll and Martha (Reese) Noll. Mr. Noll was preceded in death by his loving wife of 56 years, Constance Joanne (Long) Noll.

Gilbert was a 1953 graduate of Hagerstown High School.

Gilbert belonged to a number of organizations including Friendship Lodge #84 AF & AM, Tall Cedars of Lebanon Hagerstown Forrest #95, American Legion Dixon-Troxell Post 211, Hagerstown Elks Lodge #378, Williamsport Red Men Tribe #84, and a Retired Member of Local UAW #171.

He retired after 36 years as a Machinist for Mack Truck in Hagerstown and was a former Past President of the Golden Bulldogs. He was previously employed at Moller Pipe Organ in Hagerstown and was a surveyor for the State of Maryland. Mr. Noll was a 50 year member of Grace United Methodist Church where he was a member of We Brothers Sunday School class.

Gilbert served in the United States Army.

He is survived by his two sons; Kirk Noll and wife Ellen of Williamsport, MD and their children Katherine, David, Brandon and Matthew; and Scott Noll and wife Mei Li of Hagerstown and their children Alexandra and Jacob.

A private graveside service will be held at Rest Haven Cemetery with Rev. Clark D. Carr and Rev. Margaret Clemons officiating.
