Iris Jean Johnson

Iris Jean Johnson, 80, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away, Friday, February 28, 2020, peacefully at her home with her family at her side.
She was born Sunday, February 25, 1940, in Berkley Springs, WV, and she was the daughter of the late Julia Cain.
Iris graduated from Hancock Middle/Senior High School in 1958 and married her husband Robert New Year’s day 1965.
She was employed by the Auxiliary of Washington County Hospital from 1992 – 2004. Iris joyfully managed the gift store within the hospital.
Iris was a member of the St. John’s Lutheran Church on Potomac St. Hagerstown Md.
She is survived by her husband Robert, her daughter Beth and husband George, and her grandson Kyle of Hagerstown Md. In addition, she is survived by her cousins Dennis Cain and wife Gail of Pembroke Pines Fl. and Doug Cain and wife Lynece of Tarentum, Pa.
Services will be held Thursday, March 5, 2020, at 11 a.m. at the Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave, Hagerstown.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday one hour prior to the service.
Interment will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Doey’s House, 747 Northern Ave., Hagerstown, MD 21742.
