Jean Louise Luke

Jean Louise (Bollinger) Luke, 90, of Hagerstown, MD, went home to be with the Lord, on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at Williamsport Nursing Home. Born May 17, 1934, in Altoona, Blair County, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Deo Clark and Mary Louise (Krise) Bollinger. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband and best friend of 65 years, James Harrison Luke; her daughter, Karen Luke; her sister, Ruth Keller; and her brother, Barrett Bollinger. She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Calimer (John); son, Rory Luke (Linda); three grandchildren, Amanda Calimer (Wayne Sharrer), Rebecca Calimer (Shawn), and Ryan Luke; as well as three great grandsons, Harvey, Jack, and George Calimer. Jean was a very proud Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother. Jean loved all her grandchildren dearly.

Jean and James moved to Hagerstown in 1965 where she ran an in-home daycare and attended Paramount Baptist Church. Jean and her husband were both employed at Angstrohm Precision Inc. in Maryland then transferred to their California location in 1979. Returning to Hagerstown after over 30 years in San Diego, they rejoined Paramount Baptist Church in 2012. Jean was a comfort to many, and a joy to all; most of her time was spent taking care of her family, her friends, and her church. She was a loving and wonderful woman until the very end, and she will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Paramount Baptist Church.

A memorial service will be held at 1 pm at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel in Hagerstown, MD, on Friday, May 30, 2025, with visitation beginning at 12 pm. A light luncheon will be provided for friends and family after the service.
