In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her second husband of 32 years, Willam Oden and her first husband James Ridgeway of 12 years; daughter, Vicky Thompson; siblings Annie V. (Redmon) Watkins, Marguerite E. (Redmon) Higdon, Grace L. (Redmon) Carlton, Janet K. (Redmon) Stokes, Billy A. Redmon, Jackie W. Redmon, and Jimmie S. Redmon.
Jessie was a member of the Valley Grace Brethren Church in Hagerstown, MD before moving to Conway South Carolina where she attended Sweetwater Baptist Church. Her hobbies were gardening, walking, keeping fit, and keeping a Diary.
She is survived by her children, Linda J. Butterfield, Sharon D. Blair, Dawn D. Malkiewice, Karen J. Sandberg; siblings, Helen F. (Redmon) Grantland of Pasadena MD, and L. Atlee Redmond of Brooklyn MD; 13 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
